FloodMark is built to need as little about you as possible.
Flood reports you create: the location of the hazard, its type and severity, and any street or note you add. Reports are public, that is the point of the app, and they delete themselves after 24 hours unless another driver confirms the hazard is still there.
Your device location is used on your phone to place your pin and center your map. Your own location is never stored on our servers and never shared. Only the location of a hazard you choose to report is sent.
No accounts, no names, no email addresses, no phone numbers. No advertising identifiers and no third-party tracking. No location history.
Active flood reports are published in a public data feed so navigation and community partners (for example the Waze for Cities program) can warn other drivers. A report contains only the hazard location and the details you entered, never anything that identifies you.
